What is the name of your state?NY
Is it enough to have the disclaimer of an inheritance sign the document and hand it over to the executor, or should it be witnessed and notarized.

In this instance a wife is the disclaimer of the inheritance she would be entitled to. The deceased's family would like to have the will he made before his marriage become operative because it names his siblings as beneficiaries. Is that complicated enough to hire a lawyer?
