After being fired employer has not payed me for hours. It is now more than 15 days past scheduled pay day . Employer will not return my calls. (several daily)What can I do to get my pay?
File a claim with your State's Wage & Hour Division. The burden is on the employer to prove they don't owe you anything.
After W&H contacts the employer, the employer will have 30 days to answer the claim. If they do not, then W&H will refer the claim to the State Attorney General to pursue it in court.
W&H may take a little time, but you will not have to pay for an attorney.
