What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? CA
Hi, a couple of weeks ago I went to this house party (I'm 16) and cops turned up and kids all scattered everywhere. There was lots of alcohol in/around the house but I wasn't drunk. But before the cops turned up I went into the woods with my gf because we were fighting. So when the kids ran they came in the woods, and then the cops came in the woods. So I had this cop shining a torch on me and being all 'stay where you are', he came and asked me if I was alone and I said yes, my gf had gone off. He took me back out to the house.
He said that I ran from police. Then they found my gf and I guess she said she was with me and then the cop said to me 'you lied to police'. I got taken home and the cops said we'll be contacted.
So also, there was this car near the house that looked dumped and it got a bit smashed up during the party. A cop asked me on the night of the party about it, I told him I didn't know anything.

Now, a couple of weeks later, a cop has called and wants me to go talk to him. Do cops ever call you and tell you to come in so they can tell you what charges you're getting? Or could this maybe be about the car again? And what should I do?

Do you think I could really get charged with running from police or lying to them?

Your best course of action would be to talk to your parents about seeing a lawyer. Really.
