What is the name of your state? California
The situation involves a child who has been sexually abused by his father. Neither the attorney assigned to represent the child, nor the judge presiding over the custody hearings, nor a number of other legal people involved in the case are doing their job - that being, to protect the child. The child is under constant threat of being returned to the abusive father; this prospect terrifies the child, yet those who should be supporting the child seem only hell-bent on getting custody for the father. The mother is very capable and loving, and has never neglected or abused the child.
In a nutshell what I want to know is, to what authority are the judges and attorneys answerable? Who can one go to to place a complaint about the shocking mishandling of this case?
Thanks,
