New Jersey + Illinois

non-profit 501(c)7 (social club) may be dissolving and distributing its "assets" to a 501(c)3 rather than let me run it (I am currently on the board).

3 "assets" I am concerned about:
The NAME
The Name of the Magazine it publishes to members
The LOGO

After 15 years of use in NJ, is it still possible for me to file for a Registered Trademark for these 3 things and start a new 501(c)7 or 501(c)3 to continue the non-profit in Illinois using those 3 items IF they decide to shut down the current organization?

The 3 items have never had "Registered" status.

Maybe, if the names and logos are otherwise trademarkable. Talk with a local (to IL) trademark attorney for the best possible answer to your question.
