I am married, with two minor children, and I live in Califonia. Me and my wife are drafting our wills. We are foreign citizens (permanent residents) but plant to become US citizens in a couple of years.
Since most of our family is abroad, we are planning to name foreign family members as executors and guardians for the kids in our will. Can someone advise me in the problems that our heirs might encounter by doing this?
Also, some of our estate is abroad. Do we need an "International Will"? Is it possible to register such a will ourselves, or we need a lawyer?
Thanks
