I have been employed since Nov 2000 as an Operations Manager of a dot com Call Center. I have received great Monthly Leadership Scorecard reviews through June, but on July 7th of this year, I was placed on a 30 day action plan. Originally there were 11 items on the action plan that I needed to meet within 30 days, but by 7-25-01, there were 51 items. Yesterday, I was terminated based on "poor performance" before the 30 days were up and I had met 47 of the 51 action items. Does anyone know if I have a case for wrongful termination?
Thanks for your help.

Most people are employees at will and have no employment contracts or union contracts that protect them. That means that a boss can fire them at will for any legal reason other than discrimination on the basis of such things such as race, color, creed, etc. or no reason at all. So unfortunately, there is no recourse.
