Fake Rolexs

Technically, I'm in Canada, but an answer for New York will do if an answer can't be suplied for here.

Is it illegal to bring a fake rolex from another country to New York? More specifically, if the watch was manufactured in China, and during a vacation, I should go and buy one, would it be illegal to bring it back?

Moreso, if the watch broke, would it be illegal to to a store and ask them to fix it? Paying them, of course. Thanks.

Ugh!!! I am so sick of knock offs. I refuse to buy anymore Louis Vuitton purses because every waste case in Walmart has a knock off one. Yuck Yuck Yuck. Do you drive a Neon and pretend its a Cadillac? And then try to convince yours friends it is a Cadillac? Please if you cant afford to buy the real thing, leave it be. Its not worth the hassle.

Of course its illegal to import couterfeit merchandise. But if you're wearing it on your wrist, do you really think customs is going to check/seize it?

As for fixing it, expect to get laughed out of repair shop.
