Two Questions...

What is the name of your state? Illinois

Sorry if this does not make sense, but what is it considered when you are a year into your discharged bankruptcy case? Is it from the date your filed or the date your case was discharged?

Also, (sorry it has been a while since I have been on here so I fogot a lot of things! ) isnt there some sort of one year rule after your discharge? I am not sure if it pertains to something about the IRS or it is a good time to apply for credit if need be...Im not exactly sure, I was researching something online about the subject of a year after your discharge, but cant find it now. If there is no one year rule, then im an idiot!

Was it a BK 7 or 13?

If it was a 7, you can apply for credit the day after your discharge. There isn't a "one-year rule", it is just a suggested amount of time one should wait before applying for credit. It gives your credit a chance to "solidify" so you know what your actual score is.Your credit score may or may not drop after you file, everyone's score reacts differently.
