What is the name of your state? Tennessee

What happened if I do not pay court costs for the divorce in Tennessee? I am living in Oregon which the divorce took a place in Tennessee.

- thanks, Tom

Were you ORDERED by the Judge to pay the court costs?

It can also impact you in other ways -- such as credit ruination, inability to obtain certified copies of legal documents associated with the divorce, and what not.

Not according to LdiJ.
There is a difference between the word "can" and the word "will".

In this case not paying something that is due to the court itself, rather than the ex, has a far greater likelihood of landing someone in jail for contempt.

What's more, if the divorce is not yet final (not yet signed off on by the judge) it can delay the divorce becoming final.

Yes, I'm aware of the court's priorities.
