What is the name of your state? CA

My husband has been paying for the kids dental work, orthodontia, and medical expenses. Mom (ex), the custodial parent, refuses to pay her half of the expenses, which is detailed in their divorce decree. He has given her copies of all his receipts from day one. Anyway...it looks like she's trying to get a lawyer "someone with bigger balls than he has"... her words, to make him leave her alone. He recently sent her an email her with updated copies of all his receipts letting her know he hasn't received any payments from her to date. He then asked her when she was going to start making payments. Well...that email set her off I guess, so now she's threatning to hire an attorney who can make him leave her alone...make him afraid of coming at her again....her words. He's never threatened or harrassed her. They are not on speaking terms, but he's always been civil with her. If for some reason she does find a lawyer to listen to her petty pleas, how should he respond if at all to any documents he may receive?

He should respond on regular 8 1/2 x 11 pieces of paper. He shouldn't resond or communicate by email. But if the orders state that she is responsible for half, what do you think that lawyer is going to threaten him with?

Exactly. If the order says she pays for half, she pays for half. Tell your husband to file for contempt.

What is the EXACT wording as to how medical and dental is to be paid?

as long as hubby is following the decree to the letter, have him gather up his documentation and file for contempt.

the rest is just smoke blowing.
