What is the name of your state? PA

My fiance has an old account that was being disputed and eventually went to collections because of the dispute. Well, years later (now) we've been getting messages on our answering maching from Asset Acceptance Corp., saying who they are and that if whoever continues to listen to the message they're acknowledging they are my fiance, it's an attempt to collect a debt, and who to call and what account number to reference. Is that revealing too much information, if so what should I do? I saved one of the messages just in case. Thank you.

No, tell your fiance to contact the collection agency. Asset Acceptance is the really big dog in the collection agency world and they generally follow the laws.
