What is the name of your state? california
I recently filed for custody of my 3 year old daughter but ended up going for joint to avoid conflict with the father, but I now want to move to a different state and he wants to move too, but he wants me to go with him and i don't want to so i want to know what i should do ? Do i try for full custody or should I just try to go about it another way?

What's the current visitation schedule?

How far away will you and dad end up if you both move to your desired locales?

How 'recently' was this all sorted out in court?

You and he can agree to each seperately relocate to the agreed upon community, zip code, or wherever it is you want to relocate, and that you agree to jt legal custody, and together submit it to the court. Then you each move to your own places in that community, and kiddo can continue to have both their parents in their everyday life.

The current vistitation is that he get's her every weekend and she stays with me during the week., He will be moving to aubern and I will be moving to reno the problem is that he wants to move next month and I don't want to move to reno until feb2007, the order for joint custody was settled in june of this year.

Then you have no problem...Let him move first. He moves, then you will have no problem moving when February comes (because he'll already be moved himself). Depending on the distance between Aubern & Reno~ You can submit a Parenting Plan or Visitation Schedule which will work. Since he'll have moved first...you'll have better standing to get what schedule you want...and if it's still possible to keep the current schedule once you are both moved, then even better.:) (Then it's only a couple months of disrupted visitation)
