What is the name of your state? Texas

My husband's employer has been slow to garnish his payroll to send his CS payments to the disbursement unit. 3 pay periods have passed since they received the court order (which he also got a copy of when the employer did too). He has brought it up to his employer several times but they still cannot seem to get it done.

He is making the payments on his own, but it's an inconvenience for him to get to the bank for a cashier's check, and an inconvenience for CP because she doesn't get the funds as quickly since now there is mail time and time in processing of an physical check.

What can happen if they keep dragging their feet? Can my husband be penalized eventhough he is still making the payments that would have been garnished?

Thanks

I SURE hope he's making those payments to CSE and NOT directly to the CP.
Yes indeed! They are being mailed to the CSE. We check the OAG site to see when they have the payment so he can let her know when to expect it. Just in case he does hang on to the cashier check stubs in case USPS loses it or if the OAG says they didn't get it.

It is completly up to your husband to make the payments until his job starts the garnishment. Usually the court order will state that it may take several weeks in order for the payments to start coming out of his check. There is no recourse unfortunatly. He is responsible. Sorry.
