What is the name of your state? CA
Just a quick update. My default judgement for divorce, full physical and legal custody (with resonable visitation) was entered. Dad was served divorce and custody papers followed by my request for a default judgement and failed to responde to either.

OHIOGAL- Thanks for the advice. I know you thought that this was unlikely and the judge may order a hearing but I got word today that all is definately signed and entered. I guess CA is a weird state.

It's actually pretty standard in CA for the person who failed to show in court to 'lose'. It demonstrates to the court that they aren't interested in actually obtaining custody.
