What is the name of your state? Ca.
I am a U. S citizen, my sister is being leaving her in the U.S.A iligally for over 20 yrs, she has a daughter who will turn 18, next month, I would like to help her to legalized her cituation here, what would be the quickest way to do it, for me to claim her or wait for her daughter to turn 21 in 3 yrs? Also do I have to make a lot of money to be her sponsor?
Thank you

There is NOTHING you can do for her, not at this time. Furthermore, unless your sister entered the US lawfully 20 years ago or is somehow protected under section 245i, you will not be able to help her legalize her status either. But even if you are able to help her, your niece will need to be under 21 when the priority date becomes current of the petition you may have filed on your sister's behalf. Can you please provide information on the filing date and priority date of that petition?

I have not file for her yet, I know that if I file for her it would take a very long time for her to even get a working permit, this is why i asked if it would be better for her daughter to file for her in 3 yrs when she turns 21. Would this be the best solution for her to wait?
Thanks.
