You will honestly get better answers if you explain what is going on rather than asking a theoretical question. You are asking for people to give you answers in a vacumn and that won't get you good answers. What is the name of your state? california
what does the law say a parent has to provide as far as sleeping arrangements for teenaged children -- seperate beds? seperate bedrooms? the kids in question are 14-male and 15 female. What is the name of your state?
No, for visitation, the kids can sleep on air mattresses or sleeping bag and change in the bathroom for privacy. Unless a judge agrees that there should not be visittaion and changes the order, the visiation will continue. You do not get to unilaterally decide. There are plenty of non-custodian parents who must stand by and watch their kids LIVING (not visitaion) in hotel rooms with mom and her boyfriend.my x is moving -- he has been evicted from his current residence. He states that he will only be able to afford a studio apt. I am wondering if he can have our teenaged children for overnight visitation if he does not provide a seperate bedroom for our 15yr old daughter. I think he is OK in keeping our 14 yr old son in the same room. What happens if i am not comfortable with the new neighborhood? if i feel that it is not safe for the children? am i within my rights as a parent to refuse overnight visits? does the law state he must have seperate beds and bedrooms for children of the opposite sex?
No, no matter what the case (you dont like him sleeping in the same room as your daughter, you dont like the neighborhood, you think he's become a vampire, whatever...) you do not get to refuse overnight visitation. If you want, take it to court, but you will likely be shot down, so you'd waste your money.my x is moving -- he has been evicted from his current residence. LOLYou know, of all the problems that come to this forum, a father who doesn't let his lack of standing in the community, his status of pay or placement or any other 'disability' stop him from seeing and spending quality time with his children ranks right up there with....oh I don't know. NOTHING.
