What is the name of your state? Michigan.son-in-law has a child in Tenn. but he don't know for sure if it is his.some people came to mich. and took DNA test in a gas station parking lot is this legal.he has no money for a Lawyer and they now have him paying 600.00 a month.what if anything can he do

No, They told him to meet them at a gas station for a test and then sent him papers that the child was his,he was 15 at the time the girl got pregnut and she was 17 the child is now about 10 and tthey have never meet,my son-in-law did not even know about this child untill last year

He would have received paperwork regarding a child support hearing. He would have received paperwork to provide his income information. None of this would have been a surprize to him once the DNA test proved he was the father.

Who is "they"?

They-the childs mother and some att.,the only paper work he got was to have dna test done and a letter saying he was the father from the state of Tenn.and how much support he was to pay.My son-in-law has no kind of real income as he his in between jobs and can't afford a lawyer.Just want to know if taking dna in gas station parking lot is legal,I thought it had to be done in a Dr's office or hospital
