What is the name of your state? MN
I was charged but never convicted of a felony. I phoned in prescriptions for narcotics. I am a physician. I did 1 year of Project remand. Which is a way for first time offenders to make amends. I had a probation officer, did drug screens etc.
How do I get this expunged. I am chemically dependent and was using the drugs myself. I can't get a job with any responibility because I have been charged.
Could you walk me through the expungment process. I do not have funds to hire a lawyer.

Even if expungement were possible, theym medical board and DEA would have access to your record. It is one thing to voluntarily committed to a diversion program, it is another when it is due to your being caught with Rx fraud.

I checked with your medical board and it shows online that you have disciplinary action against your license, expungement is not going to affect the record the Medical board and DEA already have and you will have to deal with the consequences what ever they may be. Again, voluntarily entering a treatment program and being caught and being given an opportunity to have treatment have different consequences.

I have never heard of a charge with no conviction affecting a liscense. My experience with some medical boards is that they have support groups which you should enter which give you a voice in hearings for reinstatement. You will need a DEA wavier (for the drug conviction???) which are not the easiest things in the world to come by. The board will then maybe provision your liscense back, but that is all up to the members of the board. The support group is a start... .good luck....

If this was just a charge and they just suspended your liscense then getting it back should not be difficult, just adhere to the board sanctions. I have never really heard of charges affecting medical liscensure but they have been really cracking down......
