What is the name of your state? Illinois.
I have a question that I've never heard asked before, but I would like to get a general consensus on the possible answer.
I live in the State of Illinois and they charge me so that I can get a license to hunt deer in this state. I guess they must assume ownership of these critters, or how else could they charge me over them?
Say I'm driving down the road one night and some of their deer runs out in front of me and causes an accident. Can't I sue or petition the State to pay for the damages that their deer caused to my car? After all, they're laying claim to them. Shouldn't they also be liable for any of their actions?
I realize that deer cannot be controlled. I simply wonder if the State of Illinois can get away with charging for a hunting license or if they would have to stop doing it.
Has anyone ever asked this question before at this forum?
