What is the name of your state? Alabama
Is there any online way that I can check to see if the property taxes where I live have been paid ? They should have been paid by December 31. I just want to see if they were paid hopefully without a trip to the courthouse.

This information is kept on a county by county basis. Check to see what information your county assessor or treasurer has online. I doubt that you will find this, but you can try. Also, you'd be amazed what you can accomplish with a phone call.

Lots of county assessors maintain a searchable database online where you can look up properties by address of parcel number. Many will let you see if taxes have been paid.

Others are very rude.
