What is the name of your state? NJ

I heard that quite a few large corporations use Choicepoint to do their background checks and that most other background check companies will return the same results as Choicepoint. I would like to run a check on myself before submiting my application to see where I stand. Does anyone have any insight on this ?

I know of no reason why you couldn't run a background check on yourself.

You will simply need to supply a release to the background company and pay the fee for the search.

OP, you obviously didn't try to do research on this for yourself. Just google Choicepoint and go to their website. You can pay the fee and get it yourself.

Could have put it better

Perhaps I could have put it better. Are all backgound checks created equal ?
I know this is a broad question, do they all turn up the same results ?

No not all background are created equal. It entirely depends on what the the company requests on their background checks.
