In a nutshell:


Basicly a person (Annie) volunteered to take care of my dog until I could find a dog friendly home (share or my own). I found a place and tha the women cancelled out on me before I moved in.

Annie went behind my back and told the rescue where I got my dog Layla a bunch of lies and made it as if I hadn't been looking for a place at all and used them. She knows tis is a lie she's seen all of my emails.

I've emailed proof to the rescue agency showing them I was indeed looking for a home but they're resposne was basicly we don't believe you.

Can I sue Annie for slander?

Yea, a friend asked me the same thing and it doesn't hold. I'm going to fight for custody instead since I legally adopted her and paid a fee to do so.

didn't you sign some sort of an adoption contract with them? I would be willing to bet that it outlines specific needs of the pet that must be met or your adoption will be rescinded. Check out your contract.
