Exactly. And obviosly they didn't read the part where I said he PAYS $500 A MONTH! I was going to add in that LdiJ is right. This is not considered lottery winnings. It is considered income and will posted on my tax return next year a 1099 in the colume that says INCOME. Not lottery winnings. I have TWO kids who are still under the age of 18. The child that "gets" the support is 20. He doesn't even see a dime of the money my husband sends in every month, it goes to back pay. (Up till he was 18 he was seeing that money though.) So, if I used MY money to pay this debt of HIS off, his son would never see any of it anyways. Most of the money that is back pay is interest the state taked on, not even real missed payemts.
Breeze is really gonna hate this one too, and I am sure I am somehow gong to be "breaking the law again"...but in Wyoming there is no state taxes. So, I am not going to have to pay any state taxes on the money I get from selling the car either, cause once I move to Ohio it will not be income that I earned in the state. I earned the money in Wyoming.
