In my previous post I described going to court for a modification from zero child support to some, just wanted to let you know that court was yesterday and I did win. The ex does have to pay court ordered child support, we deviated from the amount, because I thought the lower amount was sufficient to help raise our children. He pays half of childcare, and carries medical.

Good for you.
Thank you Seniorjudge:) I want to add something from the last post, The CS attorney told me I could not deviate from the amount they specified, but when we went to court the first thing the other attorney wanted to do was offer a lower amount. The CS attorney told him as long as he negotiated it with me, and not her and I agreed to it than it was ok. He did end up owing $ from the date of filing, and will have to pay a little extra until that is paid in full.

Really? What did YOU win? I see you and the ex AGREED on a few things. I still don't see where "YOU" won anything.

So, the ex was ordered to pay CHILD support? To quote Adam Sandler: "whoop-dee-freaking-doo." I understand you're acting like a child by "bragging" about it, but the support is not for you.

It's for the child. The CHILD won. Not you.

Wow you are rude. Of course it is for the children, I never SAID IT WASN'T. You may not give a crap, but people are here for information and so I provided information from what happened in my case, that isn't bragging.

You know, I personally think she did "win". Now she will not have to pay to support her child all by herself. Therefore, she can attempt to live a better lifestyle for herself and her children. She can use the CS for half of her child's neccessities and maybe have some of her own income left over to catch a movie with her child or go to a ball game.

I will tell you that when I went to court for modification and the judge did not accept the NCP's claims of poverty and he was ordered to help support our child, I sure felt like I won. I won for my child--and many of you may hate this--but I felt I won for myself. No longer could the NCP duck his responsibilities. It was a personal victory. I fought for my child--and it turned out in our favor. So, OP, I am happy for you.

Thank you jbowman. I do feel that I won, for our children and myself for just those reasons. I have provided for my little ones, and of course am more than happy to do so. I have tried so very hard to make sure they have every thing they need, even though it was very difficult sometimes. The great thing is that now I can enroll my children in some activities that I truly couldn't afford before, and I had opened a college fund for each one of them and put money into them EVERY payday, even though it wasn't a large amount and now I can put more money into them and I am SO VERY excited about that. My children are TRULY going to benefit so much from this and that is what is most important.
