What is the name of your state? massachusetts

in february i purchased a truck engine on e-bay from some one in Mississippi for $1600.00

they never shipped the engine to this day

the check was made out and cashed by the person listed on e-bay

i then find out he was an employee of the business that owns the e-bay store

this person was employed to list and sell items

the person who owns the e-bay store said that the person i made the check out to ran off with the money so he will not ship the engine

he also said good luck getting your money back $1600.00

i have criminal charges on the person who cashed the check

the police tell me that i am the victim of the e-bay store owner

and the e-bay store owner is a victim of the person who ran away with the money

the question is who is responsible to pay me back

who can i take legal action against

thank you

kevin

You take action against whoever owns the Ebay store. They employed someone to list their items for sale. You bought from their store. It is not your fault one of their employees is a thief. You sue them and they go after the employee.
