I contracted with a wedding photographers months ago and have recently begun to have very bad experiences with them. Recently they sent me a very rude e-mail and when I responded professionally posted a Myspace blog about me (w/o mentioning my name) but calling me a **** bride. In the photographers last e-mail to me they stated "Feel free to say whatever you want about -------" (name of company). I was so upset I posted on a forum dedicated for brides to vent about their experiences. I did say not to book w/ them b/c they were insane and explained why I was so upset. After a short time I calmed down and deleted the post.
This photographer got a hold of the post and is threatening to sue me for libel and slander. I was planning to take them to small claims court for anticipitory breach of contract but now I'm terrified of the countersuit. I can't afford to be ina long out legal battle for being upset for 15 minutes!
Can I be sued?
