What is the name of your state? NY

We don't currently have any insurance on our mobile home.
It's a 1986 in a park with a lot of space around the home.

I am really not so much concerned about (i.e. fire) happens to our property - but more about liability issues (for example a kid gets hurt on our playground).
I tried to find some quotes online but i prefer not to give out all the personal information most of these (questionable) sites ask for.

My questions would be:

1) Are there "just" liability insurances for properties - especially mobile homes or do i always need a "whole" homeowners insurance policy which includes theft, fire, lighting etc ?

2) If yes (or even if no) - what do such insurances usually run per month ? Again keeping in mind that i am not worried about the cost of replacing a $10000 MH or things inside - but liability issues which could be 10x that much.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

We won't know prices; this is a legal website, not a quote website. The only company that I am aware of that sells this is Foremost. Give them a call. I don't know any companies that don't offer the whole package, but I'm not even sure why you wouldn't want one. If your MH burned to the ground, there goes your clothes, belongings, shelter, appliances, etc. Where will you live? What clothes will you wear? How will you buy all new stuff to get you through the next few days, let alone weeks?

Perhaps OP does not live in the mobile home anymore?
Hmmmm. I don't know. I thought about that for a hot second when I was writing my post. But, I'm still not aware of a company that offers only liability insurance.

OP, by the way, look at the security information for the websites. I happen to work for a company that gives quotes, and we get asked all the time about our security. There should be a security symbol at the top or bottom of each page. Also, many companies don't "waste their time" giving qoutes to people who aren't prepared to give their complete information. The quotes are only accurate when the information provided is complete. AND, since many insurance companies use credit, they can't give an accurate quote without pulling yours. AND, since the credit score is translated into an insurance score, providing your credit score won't help either. 5 people with the same credit score can have 5 different insurance scores, since the formula used is not the same formula that credit reporting agencies use. AND, if you give your information directly to an insurance company, the credit hit is a soft hit that doesn't affect your score. If you give it to an AGENCY, then it will be a hard hit, because the agency doesn't have the same "protection" that the company would have.

Way back when, I had a mobile home in a park. Although the lot contract specified liability coverage (an outrageous figure), it was implicit such insurance also cover the mobile home. In the event of a fire, the park does not want to be left holding 'the bag' with the responsibility to clear your home from their lot.
