bought car from used car dealer as is. First time on lift mechanic told me brake lines and fuel lines a safety hazard. Posted pics of car, dealer name and location on web and notified seller. Seller, seller lawyer now threatening legal action.
Brother's bought a used car "as is". Found out three days later the entire exhaust systems especially both catalytic converters were shot. $4k in repairs. Emissions are a huge thing here in California, and after court was said and done, my brother's did not get a judgement on their behalf. If you buy a car "as is" you're taking full responsibility of any and all damanges.
Anyhow, in regard to your quesiton, I do not see how it can be defammation of character or their business as ,IF what you are stating is true, that means you have actual documentation from a mechanic imparting this information about the dealership selling you a car that poses a safety issues, then they will not have a case. First thing anyone has to prove is that it ISN'T true. Going on, they can't tell you not to give your OPINION about their dealership as they're taking away your freedom of speech. And you have the right to post as many pictures of the car you bought from them as you want. That's your property and you are entitled to post it anywhere given you took the pictures.
