What is the name of your state? CA

Hello, I mentioned before I filed bk chpt. 7 on college tuition. The college is reviewing the circumstances on whether I can obtain my transcripts or not. How long should I wait until I contact them to find out what the status is? Or will they contact me or will wait to contact me? Anyone know?

I'd write a letter and send it {CRRR} thanking them for the review and then, politely ask for a decision within 30 days of the date they received the letter.

I don't have a precise answer on how long to wait.

I think the real question is what are you going to do if they refuse? Sue? On what grounds?

I don't live in CA and have no clue if there is a state statute that governs. If not, my guess is they will keep the issue in review for a very long time.

Yes, I will sue as most cases filed before bk law changes in '05 have favored the debtor not the university. I will sue on the grounds of 11 USC § 362 (a)(6) like every other student who won their case.
