dam, I already bought my plane ticket...have you heard of any one getting grabed at a airport??..

and to add on to it...a few hours ago my brother pulled up in his car...6 cops pulled up..(4 cars 2 bikes)...started telling him hes under arrest for a warrant from the military...after my brother screaming hes not me...he had to wait a few minuts for a another cop to walk up to him with a 8x10 pic. of my drivers Lic.to varify it wasnt me....you wanna talk about stress..im ****ting my pants as we speek...im scared to let my dog out...let alone go to oklahoma..

PLEASE!!! inform me ..has any one heard of people getting picked off at a airport while tryin to turn themselves in??? if this is the case ill just return the ticket...its refundable at any time...thanks for the luck guys..im sure ganna need it...
Wow!!! Either you aren't telling everything or somebody important has ratted you out. The military just doesn't hunt members down unless there are other factors like you stabbed someone and then went AWOL. Do you have any people around you that know you are AWOL and are tight with the police?

Get yourself turned in and get the wheels rolling to put this behind you.

I also agree 18 is too young to sign yourself away. The government won't let you consume alcohol untill the age of 21 (and with good reason) but they have no problem letting you sign your life away at the age of 17.

Good luck, your going to need it.:(

well I was informed that the NCIC informed the police about my warrant...was also told that since soldiers are trained to only do one thing...they need more then a few police officers just incase you go all bruce lee on them...DO NOT!! and I say again DO NOT!! call this ext. for the deserter holine # when the lady awnsered I gave her my S.S. # and right after she typed it in, she went all crazy on me saying....im a convicted felon and I should be a nervous wreck and shes going to see to it that my information is processed in a week exc...kinda crazy I know. for cyberspook...I was in basic training for a little over 2 weeks...and was sent home on a red cross letter do to a death in my family..so yes im very surprised myself that the police are hunting me down hardcore like I did somthing really bad ( like stab some one)....I even called the NCIC and MP station to see if they can put a hold on the warrant if I show proof that I have everything I need to turn myself in..he kinda just laughed at me..it was worth the try considering I cant even take somthing to the garbage can without the block turning blue and red...I will inform those who are awol right now..right when you find out that you have a packet and your DFR'd just get the hell down to sill or knox...dont wait to be put into the NCIC like I did...the stress is on a level I cannot even explain..I cant eat, sleep, when my door bell rings or a light flashes really quick...my heart stops..its bad knowing your awol..but to know that now..local police want you worse then the military...its really bad..

trust me...if I came to a website in search of honest legal advice..id tell the truth...I called the NCIC plenty of times, to see if my packet was in...even spoke with a seargent for quite some time about how the hole process works, an he even said himself you usualy just get outprocessed if you were in BCT or AIT, I just talked to the wrong person on the wrong day, thats all..I can assure you all there is nothing more to this story..in basics for 2 weeks...sent home on a red cross letter...never went back when I got my return date...end of story...trust me..in basic training I made sure I blended in with the woodwork, kept my mouth shut and head straight..but since every one keeps asking/stateing that there is more to the story..im getin a little worried...since I didnt return they just made up a bunch of art. 15's or somthing...( highly doubtful they would do that)...but who knows... ( deserting the army..is considered a felony) thats why they issue a federal warrant...so tech. im a felon I guess..even though I have never hurt any one or anything in my life...just because I didnt return when I was supose, all of a sudden im the most dangerous man in the world..

well if that's all to your story, i guess you would be the lucky .001 percent that actually gets pursued by law enforcement. 99.998% of people that go awol never get pursued. its possible, but just doesn't happen. why would city cops even bother with tracking down someone that is awol/deserted from the army? i mean it really doesn't make any logical sense.

at any rate you obviously have some psycho cops after you so i would suggest making your way back to ft. sill ASAP. obviously, avoid your local police in doing so as they can leave you sitting in a county jail for a couple weeks. just get back to sill and get it cleared. move on.
