My question is, if i am following a race car driver who's permission i have to photograph and sell stuff with their image, likeness and name in it, and i take a photo of them in their race suit or car, at a racetrack, that has the logo of their sponsor on it, an i still able to use the image on a poster etc and sell it on the racers behalf? or do i need permission from the sponsor since their logo is prominant?

Cheers!

If you are on a racetrack, which may be considered private property, you may need the property owner's permission to use any/all photos you have taken.

No, you do not need the sponsor's permission from a trademark perspective.
