I wanted to make a couple extra bucks, so I have been selling clothing on eBay and purchased a few shirts from an out of country supplier. Before I purchase I asked them if they were authentic, they said yes. Before I listed them I compared them to the pictures on eBay and they looked the same so I thought they were real. About a month after all items were sold I received an email from the manufacture of the shirts saying that what I sold was fake. Now they are asking for my supplier's contact info, how many I sold, whom I sold it to and for how much. Any advice would be helpful. I have also received a certified letter from them, but I never signed for it and it was returned to them. I have not given them and info so far, and want to know if they can really purse legal action against me.
Since this has happened I have stopped selling on Ebay till I know what I am gettign into.

Thanks

You should cooperate with the mfg. as much as you can.
Honestly, I don't buy your story that you thought the items were real. However, it's not me you have to convince.
Work with the mfg. and they might take it easy on you.

Not signing for the letter means nothing, they have proof they sent it and you didn't accept it. Like the previous post, you should cooperate. You have committed a crime by selling fake goods, if you help them they might go easy on you, if not the probably wont!
