What is the name of your state? Virginia

My exboyfriend spit on me
and held me down in a chair and told me
not to go out the door,
and he got arrested for assault and battery.

A hearing is set for next week.

However, it is not officially in their court database.

Would they just dismiss it because no one witnessed
the incident?

I have been told that prosecutors in my state do not
care about when a woman is spit on and if I really wanted
it prosecuted, I would have to hire my own attorney to help me.

There is a Victim/Witness counselor at the DA's office, call and voice your concerns.

Thank you. I called and she could only tell me that there
is some hearing set for next week but not what it was for.

I think she is going to try to call me back.

I just wondered if that's possible or likely if it is
"he said" "she said."

This has got to be the 3rd or 4th time you've posted this same EXACT question. How many more times do you intend on doing so???? Please... oh please stop with the duplicate posts.

Thanks!

It is not the same question.

I first asked what happens in the court process,
such as what happens after an arrest (procedural question).

Now, I am asking about the weight of the evidence (substantive question)
in terms of what level of proof they require and would they seek it out
or just drop it.
