I signed a private school contract but notified the school that we wished to back out a couple of days before school started. He has not attended a single day but they are holding us to the contract anyway. Stuck with a FACTS management company. Are son is overstressed at this school and we now think it is too much pressure to bear on him. We tried an amicable plea which is being soundly rejected. Do I have any legal recourse? He deduced after we signed that his stomach aches were stress related and he does not want to go back. Can they stick us with the whole year even if he has not attended a single day? What is the name of your state? HawaiiWhat is the name of your state?

I am in a similar position as yours in the state of NJ. I would really appreciate if you could share with me any legal advice you were able to obtain as it seems very difficult even to find a lawyer that has experience with this matters. Thank you very much beforehand.

First - you shouldn't hijack someone else's thread.
Second, While it would, in theory, be possible to get further away from Hawaii than you are in New Jersey, it would be difficult.
