I just wish I could play Voice Mails in court. Nothing says spite like "Your rich wife can support you. Because you OWE me and you are going to pay until you die"

Don't worry. She is living in Fantasyland.

Some day, not really THAT far away, her child will age out of CS and suddenly mom will need to live on what SHE is EARNING HERSELF. And wait until she has NOTHING to fall back on in her golden years!

And, as "presumed to be" rich wife myself, I wonder how it is she thinks we GOT that way? Certainly NOT by NOT working!

Is it wrong to giggle and laugh...I think about that day all the time. I have no idea how she is going to support herself when the CS is gone. My husband has told me numerous times that she has never participated in a 401K or retirement program.

I wish there was a support group for us "presumed rich wives".

unless they're past the time for review anyway.....
But she can not get an increase "just because" she's unemployed.

and court is unlikely to order mom to work, and certainly won't order what type of work, they will simply imput her an imcome
That doesn't mean he can not motion the court anyways. Some crafty language like "seek employment comparable" blah blah blah. Puts her unemployment in the spotlight.

mom is the payee.
Good question about quit/fired. At this time she has no job. And has not applied for unemployment. This course of action leads me to believe she quit. In the past 3 years she was fired from 2 different jobs...both times she filed for unemployment immediately.
She has left a few Voice Mails for my husband that say "can't afford mortgage without job." "Need more support to pay my bills to support the children." "Your support is not enough now that I don't have a job." She seems to be hinting around that she is going to file for a support modification.

You can use those in court against her. I would STRONGLY recommend you save that voicemail. If you have the ability, record that voicemail INTO your computer (if you have audio recording software...if not, download some basic ones for free) and record the message, along with the date/time stamp. That voicemail is legit to use against her.

And I am not going to deny it does become annoying when her lawyer mentions what a struggle it is for my husbands ex, to raise the children, on what child support my husband gives her:rolleyes:**************.
And I would love to see attorneys slam this BACK in their stupid whiney face by arguing that since it's such a "struggle", that perhaps the children should live with the other parent so the this so-called "struggling" parent can get their life back on track.

That should muzzle the dumbass attorney.
