Hello. My name is Mark from the United Kingdom - here is one of my photography websites:

Now on this censorship free forum which I do not post at:
http://jehovahswitnessonline.com/viewtopic.php?t=19934&sid=64015e3175bdae6c48be1f0185fdd725 - a user from Macon, Georgia, USA is using my copyrighted photographs and using them to spread religious and racial hatred and quite perverted material and/or messages. I personally find that the way that this individual is using my copyrighted material, extremely offensive and potentially, greatly damaging to my business and personal life.

I do not want to see my photographic material used in this way, or in any way associated with offensive material such as this.

The poster in question has even altered my copyright on the photographs, and circumvented the software on the website to stop image theft from happening.

Now, even though I live in the UK, and belong to the Federation of Small Businesses, which gives me legal costs up to £50,000 ($100,000), is it possible to sue this person for using my copyrighted photographs in this manner, when I live in the UK and this poster lives in the USA?

Although I do not know his surname, I do know for certain his first name, that he lives in Macon, Georgia, USA and also the company that he works for, a tyre fitting outfit, having traced his previous posting history.

Is the considered opinion that I would have a case against this individual?

I ought to point out, that the link above demonstrates extremely offensive material, please understand you were warned before viewing.

Any assistance on my legal standpoint would be greatly appreciated and the wisdom of pursuing this case.

Essentially, the question is I guess, do I have a case here?

Or maybe I should post up the links to where you asked people to chip in to hire a detective to track down one of your online enemies. The same enemy you made the physical threats against.

Quincy, I apologize for being a little rough but it was necessary.

Mark has a few issues. He has been a major disruption on every single ex-JW board he's joined and in the last couple of years has become somewhat obsessive and even threatened physical violence.

I'm sorry this spilled over onto your board, I really am. But as I said, it was necessary. Y'all did the right thing in removing him early. I hope you banned his IP address as well, because he does have a history of spamming with troll accounts.

There were no copyright violations. I'm one of the people who reposted his photos. Mark has posted his photos himself, making them freely available, and never once did he say anything about copyrights until he became angry at some he suddenly decided were his "enemies".

Again, I'm sorry y'all all had to endure this.

Mark's photos are copyright protected and he has never allowed them to be freely posted, let alone tampered with by photoshoping with rude/vile/sexist comments and the like.

For the record, I have never ever given anyone else ever permission to use my business photographs and especially, not to misuse them with placing on them, photoshopped elements depicting sexuality and religious discrimination - I absolutely abhor my images being used in that way and find that the way you have used the photographs to your own sick ends Bendrr truly abhorrent.

You may think it clever to come here to spew your lies, but this forum does not need the likes of you coming here to purely spew out your endless childish behaviour.

The other individual who came into this thread is nothing to do with me, last thing I want is this kind of trouble over here and upsetting you guys.

Although the poster who the complaint is against I notice has been posting more of these images online in various places and too, another friend of his has just posted up almost my entire collection of professional images on another forum.

To be honest, I find all of this, rather tiresome, as no doubt, you do too, what can one say?
