What is the name of your state? Illinois

Alright, recently my high school enacted a system that posts grades, test scores and anything and everything about me on their website for students/parents to login and see. Is there any right I have as a student, not 18 yet, to not allow people (including parents)to view my grades, test scores, etc.. Isn't that my personal information? How can the school do this without the consent of the people's information they are allowing access to? And no, it's not because I'm getting bad grades.. I'm just a little ticked off that none of us had any say in this. Thanks.

No, you don't "have a say" or have any "rights" until you are a legal adult. Till then, you are under the care/control of your parents. Keep doing well in school. :)

Every school I know of that posts grades online, and there are many, many, many schools that do this now, post grades using the student's identification number only. Your name is not connected to the information posted. This way, your information stays private - only those with access to your id number (you, your parents, your teachers) can view your personal information.

Why would you think that your parents DON'T have a right to see your grades, regardless of the method used? That makes no sense.

My son's school uses edline to post grades, and I gotta say that I love it. There's no more hiding anything from mom.
