What is the name of your state? AK

okay had the meeting with the atty here...she told me i was doing a great job. as far as the motions, she recommended contacting the court to find out why they weren't entered in the system. by the time i got back from her office and lunch, they were entered but had civil deficiencies on all of them.

so here are my questions:

1. Do I mention in the opposition to the motion for contempt the fact the judge told his atty during the status hearing it was two years to late for the contempt issue?
2. Do I include in each opposition the fact they don't conform with AK Statutes?
3. Since the one is a counterclaim to my motion, do I reply to the original motion stating it was not filed in a timely manner and also file an opposition to the counterclaim? Or do I just oppose the counterclaim?
4. Can I file anything in regards to his financial affidavit?

BTW, the atty here did tell me to answer the interrogatories. I have until Oct 13th to answer them and then mail them. So that is what I will do. However, the majority of this information is irrelevant to these proceedings. I will answer these accordingly. Since our divorce decree specifically states he is not entitled to anything (ie financial or property) after our separation of 3/03 can i use that as an answer for the questions that pertain to property and material assets?

Please any help will be greatly appreciatedWhat is the name of your state?

It would be so much easier if you would keep all of your questions in one thread. By breaking them up into separate threads, you're making the assumption that people here have either already read your previous threads (and have memorized them) or are willing to search all over the forum to learn your history.

It would also be easier if you realized that the people who respond are volunteers. Even a lawyer that you're paying won't respond to you between 8pm and 9:30pm at night - unless you're paying him an awful lot of money. Be patient.

I keep forgetting about the time difference; I'm sorry for the impatience. I realize everyone here is a volunteer and you are absolutely right in stating my lawyer wouldn't answer at those times of night. Please accept my sincerest apologies; I'm a little stressed (ok a lot stressed) over the nonsense.

As far as keeping it in the same thread, I had posted questions on my previous thread several days ago regarding whether or not I needed to respond since these motions hadn't been logged; I received no responses. As a result, I posted a new thread asking specific questions concerning the responses I have to file. The motions were just posted to the case today and deficiency notices sent. However, the filing date for opposition did not change.

Personally, I think that you should hire the attorney you consulted with to help you. You are wanting really detailed technical responses/advice, and since no one else here is in AK, I doubt that anyone would feel too comfortable with advising you on those issues.

You might want to shop around a little...5k PLUS 500.00 per month sounds more than a little bit high to me.

nope that's the going rate in Anchorage AK...at least for a decent atty. If I hadn't already had to spend $3500 in Florida to get motions dismissed that should never have been filed it wouldn't be such a hardship...I'll figure something out...I'll call a couple of other lawyers but I doubt I will find one much cheaper...
