My situation is that i currently have custody of my 3 yr old daughter which i get no support what so ever from her mom only because she does not have a good job and also i want her to get back on her feet life wise. I also have a 1 yr old son from a different mother which she has custody of. I know child support in IL is about 20%. Can this be lowered in my case scenario?

No, the one year old should not be expected to do without because you choose to not collect support from the 3 year olds mother.

Check your state's guidelines, some states allow a deduction for other children in the household, but I don;t know if IL is one of them.

More importantly, you should file for a CS order for your 3 yr old's mother to pay. While it's nice of you to want to allow her the opportunity to get on her feet, your child deserves to be supported by both parents.

You can go online to the child support enforcement for Illinois and they should have a calculation table that will help you with your child support payment range.

The calculator is here:

IL guidelines, to my knowledge, do NOT adjust for other children in the NCP's (or CP's) care that are not a part of the order before the court. It is assumed that the other children are supported by BOTH of their parents and therefore no a burden on the payor.
