What is the name of your state? Michigan

I am an college student who was flunked by a teacher unfairly.
I was told that if I was going to file a grade appeal against her, that I would lose and that is the situation. Now, she misplaced an assignment of mine and will not allow me to retake it, and she also discriminated against me on an oral exam that she gave me. She misgraded an exam of mine, and will not allow me to look at exam 4 to make sure that it was graded properly. I also have evidence that there is disparate treatment in the college. They do what they want. They are not really taking me seriously at all, and so at this point, I am wondering if I have a case against the college.

You have nothing to lose by filing the grade appeal. At least your issues will be addressed.
Any talk about a lawsuit is ridiculous.

Yes, I am interested in how unfair grading is handled by law. People invested so much of their lives to get through school and just because somebody has the authority to mark you whatever they feel like, doesn't mean you have to fail. Is there a kind of law to protect students in any state?

I am interested in the topic and want to keep it under the same topic.
I'd appreciate any real discussion on the topic.

There is no law against unfair grading. The only way to appeal a grade is through the school's appeal system. If you feel that you were wronged, or suffered because of the actions of another, you can always try to sue them in civil court. However, a lot of grading is subjective. What makes one paper an A and one a C? They may have the same information, but one is better structured and explains concepts more clearly.

Again, post your specific case information and you'll get better help.
