What is the name of your state? OH
My wife works at the factory and is part of UAW.
Her job setter always argues with everyone in their department, and today when my wife was working, job setter came over and told her to get out of the way, when my wife couldn't since she was holding a part on a machine (have to finish before let go, otherwise part gets ruined), so she told her to wait a second. Then her job setter walking away hit my wife's back with a box she was carrying.
My wife called committee man down who said they'll talk to the job setter.
This is first time when physical contact was done by the job setter, but like I said job setter argues and word-fights with everyone in the department all the time, and it's been getting worse. I'm afraid it may get even worse soon.
So, my question is, what can my wife do to protect herself from her job setter if Union doesn't do anything, but tell job setter to control her temper again. (that's all they ever do), because the workplace is becoming unsafe.
Any advise would be appreciated.
