My brother wants to use this address for his parole. He would be staying here for a couple months. #1 Does my landlord get informed? #2 Is my house now subject to random searches and surprise stop ins? What exactly is involved when I say yes to this?

He might. But you might be subject to eviction if you fail to notify the landlord of a long term guest - read the terms of your lease.

#2 Is my house now subject to random searches and surprise stop ins? What exactly is involved when I say yes to this?
Yes, the parole officer and the police will be permitted to stop by with little to no cause and conduct a search of your brother's room and any common area that he might have access to. This might also include YOUR living space if he has access to it.

So, ask yourself ... do you WANT the police and Parole in your house at their whim at virtually any time of day or night?
