What is the name of your state? MO but probably not relevant...

How would i find out if my girls have passports? Since Stupidhead had sole legal custody for so long, it's made me a little twitchy to think about.

Is there someone I call/write to?

what agency issues your passports in MO?
I have no idea. This is my experience w/passports...

I used to take passport photos when I worked at Kinkos... and I picked up an application once at the post office - about a million years ago.

The Department of State is responsible passports and keeping record of all passports issued.

www.state.gov you'll have to search for passports for minors, website is pretty helpful, lots of information there.

How did he end up with sole legal custody? I've got a passport issue, he ignored request to sign passport application for son - yet another battle will be on the horizon. Only interested in having it to take the kid to Canada for a summer vacation.

Long story... reader's digest version is that I agreed to it in the divorce because he was all kinds of concerned about their religious upbringing. He no longer has sole legal.

Z ~ My only concern is that he may have passports in their names... and if I'm going to get married in Cabo soon, then I need to be able to get/have passports for the girls. So I need to know if they already have them - and he's not gonna tell me.

There's also some concern in the back of my head that if he DOES have passports for them, it wouldn't be that hard for him to come up with a notarized statement from 'me' stating that the kids had permission to leave the country. KWIM? After all, SMom and I have VERY similar names.

Well, right now the wedding in Cabo only exists in my head. When I perfect my thought transference and it's in HIS head too, I'll let you know.

And you say that like you have a pile of extra hips laying around - which is an amusing visual to say the least.
