What is the name of your state? Washington

I live in Washington state. I just moved our of an apartment that I was in for 5 years, My old landlord is trying to charge me for items that should be partially covered by normal wear and tear. Would writing a check for the portion I think I owe and putting paid in full on the check settle the dispute if the land lord cashes the check? What is the name of your state?

If it was, then I'd buy a Mercedes, and write that in the memo of my first payment. Then, I'd do the same with my mortgage payment.
