I do not know how many of you are following this case, but the little girl whose remains washed up on the shore of Galveston Bay has been identified as Riley Ann Sawyers. A sweet little two year old who was savagely beaten and murdered before being dumped like trash by her mother and stepfather. This is a perfect example as to why always follow after your kids. If the ex runs off with them, hunt them down...try everything you can because there are some sick people out in this world.
This story just breaks my heart.

So they did positively ID her? I heard yesterday that had a feeling that was her, but hadn't come to any formal conclusions.

Poor baby. I just think that she is being rocked gently by angels.

The positve id is not in yet. But the mother has spilled her guts to the police and all the stories matched. IT is almost 100% confirmed.

It just makes me so darn mad! All these people out there who would have loved to have this little girl in their home and given her everything she deserved!

I read that it was going to take another few weeks for conclusive DNA testing.

I know people are sometimes too selfish to look out for their kids, but why can't they just hand them over to the other parent or other family member rather than killing them

Exactly my feeling! So many other options....why would you choose this one?

Children are possessions. Didn't you get the memo?

They do it because they are evil creatures who have no concience. They deserve no more than a rabid dog. This mother and step father should have to suffer the EXACT same fate that they imposed on this precious child.

It is so sad and sickening. I think parents who do this type of thing are self absorbed and in complete denial of concern for their child or anyone else, except themselves. Just like exes who will murder their wives/girlfriends because they felt if they couldn't have them, then no one else will. Little sweetie is in the Lord's arms and better with Him than whom she was with. It's so sad there are so many sickos out there. Faith

I agree! I just wish it wouldn't take so damn long to put them to death, and I also wish it didn't have to be so painless.

I just don't understand how you could torture your own daughter like that. What is going through your mind while your are slamming your childs head into a tile floor? I just don't get it.
