What is the name of your state? TX

I am asking this question on behalf of a friend.

He is interested in buying a house. Would his criminal record cause problems with this?

Thanks in advance for replies!

**A: no, especially if he pays cash in large unmarked bills.

I understand the sarcasm! He is actually one of my friend's new husband....I told her not to marry him! But regardless, his charge is for organized criminal activity due to heroin induced burgalary. He violated his parole a couple of time before supposedly being on the straight and narrow now....the conviction happened ten years ago....

I doubt the criminal record will matter. The loan people check your current job and your credit score. Presumably he has a legal source of income now?

**A: if he does not pay cash, read the 1003 (loan application) as to the specific questions. it is reasonable for a lender not to want to loan money to an organized crime member on heroin in the past.
