What is the name of your state? MO
Maybe it's because it's a small town, or because the bus driver loves me, or ... well... who cares why.
But today, my 7 year old got off the bus at her Dad's house instead of the babysitter's house. So I got that call that every parent dreads...
"I have no idea where your child is, but she's not here"
and the school wasn't answering their phone.
So I called the superintendent and HE got through to the school and the secretary called the driver on his radio and found out that he'd already dropped Unruly off... but he TURNED THE BUS AROUND and drove BACK to SH's house and sat outside honking until SMom sent Unruly out. And then... he took her to the right house.
How awesome is that? Really?
The secretary knows that there are restraining orders that would prohibit me from picking Unruly up at SH's house, and that I can't call SH or SMom in order to have THEM take Unruly where she's supposed to be... and so they handled all of it for me.
I'm a happy mom who is no longer picturing her poor lil 7 year old all lost and alone in the wilds of Missouri.
