Might some rum pudding be headed my way?
Dang that Rico, I sent him over with a HUUUUGE bucket of Rum Pudding! Stick your head out the door and whistle...that oughta get his attention. (He's cute, but...)

And Large Apologies to Carrabas, who is trying to have a serious thread. I really just wanted to congratulate my cohorts for such great research. :) Didn't mean to go off on a Pudding Tangent.

I would also like to apologize for the hijack. Been a long first day back to work!

Stud? Sigh. I should have picked a more gender-specific user name. I'm going to start signing my posts "Cheryl."

I will accept "Google Goddess", though.

And to keep on topic for OP: if we are right (and it sure looks like we are), the next time you're at the courthouse and see those clerks, please let them know they're wrong so they won't continue to mislead attorney-less people who ask them for help.

ETA: By the way, Silver, it wasn't all that quick (for me). I had to read that statute crap for 45 minutes before it started to make sense.

You may be "Google Goddess," but I *did* disclaim my STUD comment! ;) :p I had no other word at the moment. You'd think I could use a thesaurus. My doofus self is sorry. :)

Yep. It is NOT up to a clerk which petitions are filed, nor is it their job to tell a citizen the law. Ever.

ETA for an ETA:
