SGLI and child support

What is the name of your state? Virginia
My boyfriend is in the Navy as I am and he wants to put me as the sole beneficiary for his SGLI(military life insurance).
He has a child with a woman that lives in Oregon and they have no court ordered child support agreement. He sends her money every month for the child.
My question is what are her (the child's mother) legal rights to this money?

Before you all go off on me for just being worried about the money I am not. I fully intend to send her a substantial part of the money but he has certain wishes that he has outlined in his will as to what goes to me (the vehicle that would have to be paid off and a few other things. He does not want us left out in the cold)
He is with a SWCC unit and could unfortunately be put in danger as a part of his job. So dealing with this is a reality that we both have to face. I just want to know what I am in for if I agree to do this.

So the only thing that she would have claim on is the estate. What about property willed to another person. IE vehicle, firearm or the like? He has no real estate and the item that would be of the most value is the Jeep that is willed to me. (to make a long story short I am making payments but it is in his name and the title is to go to me when it is payed off. Just cleaned up my credit and was only eligible for a high interest rate loan and needed something reliable to drive.)



On afterthought maybe I should ask this one in the probate section.
